Rule enforcement
The problem
Momentum is easy to lose. Discipline is harder to maintain.
When pressure drops, it's easy to drift, delay important work, and confuse planning with execution.
Exora is built for the moment motivation drops and discipline has to take over — with structured sessions, enforcement modes, and real group accountability.
How it works
Exora keeps you moving through the full execution loop.
Set your focus goal. Choose how hard the app should push you. Run a protected Pomodoro session. Get challenged before you can quit mid-block. Sync to your Focus Pool. Repeat.
1. Set what matters
Define your focus goal and what you're working on today.
2. Choose your mode
Pick a discipline level and session protection — from minimalist launcher mode to selected app blocking.
3. Run a Pomodoro session
Focus blocks auto-transition through breaks. Exora challenges you before you can quit mid-block.
4. Close the loop
Sessions sync to your Focus Pool leaderboard. Share your rank card. Reflect. Build momentum.
Automatic blocking
Rules that guard your day on their own.
A focus session is deliberate. Rules are always-on. Set a recurring schedule or a daily limit once, and EXORA blocks the apps you choose — on the days and hours you pick — without you starting anything. It enforces natively on Android and Windows, even when the app is closed.
Recurring schedules
Block a set of apps on the days and time windows you choose — 9am–3pm on weekdays, every evening, any custom window. Rules run on their own clock, even when EXORA is closed.
Daily limits & open caps
Cap an app at, say, 45 minutes a day or a number of opens. When the limit is reached, it's blocked for the rest of the day — no session required.
Named windows you can read
Give each blocking window a name — Deep work, Study hall, Finals — and pick the days and hours on a simple day-and-time picker. Rules read like a plan, not a settings screen.
The shield that talks back
Open a blocked app and a full-screen shield appears with a line that sharpens every time you try again — gentle nudge to brutal call-out, matched to your discipline mode.
Focus Pools
Shared goals make follow-through visible.
Start a Focus Pool with a clear goal, a date range, and a public or private invite flow. Each completed pool session adds to member progress and the group leaderboard.
Goal window
Every pool has a shared target plus start and end dates, so the accountability has a real finish line.
Invite or discover
Create private pools with an invite code, or make them public so others can find them from Discover.
Member progress
Completed pool sessions update focus time, session count, active days, and leaderboard position.
Shareable proof
Export a rank card with your place, focus time, sessions, and active days through your device share sheet.

Managed mode
Run focus for a whole team, class, or event.
Companies, schools, and libraries create an organization, enroll devices by QR or code, and push one blocking policy to every phone and PC — then watch a live dashboard. Events spin up a session with its own blocklist and check attendees in at the door by QR, even offline.
Enroll by QR or code
Create an organization, then enroll phones and PCs with an enroll code or a quick QR scan. Print a poster and a whole room joins in seconds.
One policy, every device
Set what's blocked, on which days and hours, and the discipline level — once. Every enrolled device pulls the policy and enforces it natively.
Live device dashboard
See which devices are online right now, when each last checked in, and a per-device breakdown of violations, success rates, and busiest days.
Sessions & events with door check-in
Spin up a session for a class, an exam, or an event — its own blocklist, schedule, attendee roster, and a printable QR flier. Scan people in at the door, even offline; it syncs when signal returns.
Teams
Keep a whole team off distractions during work hours.
Schools & libraries
Manage shared and student devices with one policy.
Events
A distraction-free room, with QR check-in and printable fliers.

Streaks & rewards
Progress you can feel — and keep.
Consistency compounds. EXORA turns each focused day into a streak, banks freezes as you go, and rewards depth with XP, levels, and badges — all synced to your account so nothing is lost across devices.
Daily streaks
Show up and the chain grows. Rule-protected days keep it alive even on days you never open the app.
Earned streak freezes
Bank a freeze at every 7-day milestone (up to five) to cover a missed day without losing the run you built.
XP, levels & badges
Every completed session banks XP toward levels and unlockable badges for focus time, streaks, and depth.
Progress notifications
A heads-up when your streak extends, XP lands, or you earn a freeze — all synced to your account and restored on any device.
Discipline modes
Accountability that matches you.
Some days you need calm support. Other days you need stronger prompts, selected app blocking, and fewer easy exits. Exora adapts to the intensity you actually respond to.
Session protection
Minimalist
Switches to the EXORA launcher so the phone surface becomes quiet, plain, and less tempting during focus.
Blocking
Uses Android Accessibility during focus to detect selected blocked apps and return you to EXORA.

Core features
Designed for action.
Pomodoro rhythm engine
Auto-transitions between focus blocks, short breaks, and a long break every 4th round. Pick block size (15 / 25 / 45 min) and break lengths once — the timer runs the whole rhythm.
Focus Pools — group accountability
Create a goal room with a start and end date, invite people by code, or discover public pools. Completed pool sessions build member progress, rankings, and shareable proof.
Session protection modes
Choose Minimalist, Blocking, or Both. EXORA can quiet your launcher, block selected distracting apps during focus, or combine both protections.
App & website categories
Sort apps and sites into Distracting, Friction-delayed, Always-allowed, and Never-allowed. Distracting feeds your focus score, Friction adds an open delay, Always-allowed is protected during every block, and Never-allowed is blocked around the clock and hidden behind device biometrics.
Website & adult-content blocking
Block specific websites and flip on a bundled adult-site filter. On Android EXORA reads the browser address bar; on Windows the ExoraGuard service blocks domains system-wide via the hosts file — both keep working while the app is closed.
Automatic rules that run on their own clock
Set recurring block windows — which apps and sites, on which days, between which hours — and EXORA enforces them without a focus session, even with the app closed. The home-screen widget shows when a rule is enforcing live.
Scheduled sessions with alarms
Plan tomorrow's deep work today. Set date, time, Pomodoro rhythm, and protection level. An alarm fires at start time — tap to launch straight into the session.
Roast-before-you-quit
Exora challenges you before allowing pause or exit during a focus block. Roast intensity scales with your discipline mode — from gentle reminder to brutal call-out.
Focus Wrap — your story in slides
Open Focus Wrap for any week, month, year, or all time to get a story-style breakdown: total focus time, streak, peak window, Pomodoro rounds, and a shareable summary card.
Account sync and recovery
Sign in to sync your profile, settings, focus history, streaks, scheduled sessions, usage, and push token so your phone data can follow your account.
Privacy-first permissions
Before Android Accessibility is enabled, EXORA shows an in-app disclosure explaining what it uses, why it is needed, and what it does not read.
Privacy and trust
Clear permissions. Visible sync. No mystery behavior.
EXORA explains sensitive Android permissions before they are enabled and keeps account sync visible in the app, so users know what is happening with their data.
Account sync status
After sign-in or email verification, EXORA syncs this phone with your account and shows whether data is syncing, synced, or waiting for connection.
Accessibility disclosure
Before Android Accessibility is enabled, EXORA explains that it uses foreground app/window-change events and opened app name/package only for app blocking.
Installed app picker
EXORA lists installed launchable apps so you can choose what to block or delay. The picker is for user control, not advertising or tracking.
Website blocking
On Android, EXORA reads the current tab's domain from the browser address bar only to check it against your block list. On Windows, the ExoraGuard service maps blocked domains to 0.0.0.0 in an isolated, clearly-marked section of the hosts file and leaves the rest untouched. No browsing history is stored or transmitted.
Never-allowed lock
Your Never-allowed list is hidden behind your device's own biometric or PIN. EXORA only asks the system to authenticate — it never sees or stores your fingerprint, face, or passcode.
Local and cloud data
You can use EXORA locally, or sign in to keep progress, streaks, settings, scheduled sessions, and Focus Pool progress connected to your account.

FAQ
A few quick answers.
01Is Exora a general productivity app?+
Not really. Exora is built around accountability, follow-through, and execution — whether you're working on personal goals or competing with a group through Focus Pools.
02What is a Focus Pool?+
A group accountability room. You create it with a goal, a date range, and an invite code. Completed pool sessions log to a ranked leaderboard. You can export your rank card as an image and share it from your device.
03What is the Pomodoro rhythm engine?+
Exora auto-transitions between focus blocks (15 / 25 / 45 min), short breaks (5 / 10 min), and a long break every 4th round. You configure it once at session setup — the timer runs the entire rhythm automatically, including break countdowns.
04Can Exora actually block distracting apps?+
Yes — on Android and Windows. On Android, Blocking and Both modes use Accessibility to detect selected apps and cover them with a full-screen shield; a prominent in-app disclosure is shown before the permission is enabled. On Windows, a native shield and the ExoraGuard watcher do the same, with a kernel-enforced AppLocker tier for managed Enterprise/Education devices.
05Can Exora block websites too?+
Yes. Add domains to your Never-allowed list, or turn on the built-in adult-site filter, and EXORA blocks them around the clock. On Android it reads the browser's address bar (Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera, DuckDuckGo) and shows the shield; on Windows the ExoraGuard service blocks the domains system-wide through the hosts file. Both keep working while the app is closed.
06What are the app categories?+
Every app or site can go into one of four buckets. Distracting flags your heaviest apps and docks your focus score when you overuse them. Friction-delayed adds a short speed-bump before an app opens. Always-allowed is never blocked by anything — protected during focus, rules, and blocks. Never-allowed is blocked 24/7 and kept behind your device's biometric lock so it can't be casually turned off.
07What are automatic rules?+
Rules are always-on blocking that runs without a focus session. Set a recurring schedule (which apps and sites, on which days, between which hours) or a daily limit / open cap, and EXORA enforces it on its own clock — even when the app is closed. A rule can Block the listed apps or Allow-only them (blocking everything else). Each rule window can be named, the home-screen widget shows when one is enforcing, and opening a blocked app shows the escalating shield.
08What is Managed Mode?+
Managed Mode lets a company, school, library, or event run focus across many devices. Create an organization, enroll phones and PCs by QR or code, and push one blocking policy to all of them. A live dashboard shows online devices and per-device violations, and you can run sessions or events with an attendee roster and QR door check-in that works offline and syncs later.
09How does the free run work?+
The free run is a mode-specific window, no card required. Gentle and Balanced modes get 30 free days of unlimited focus; the intense modes — Strict and Beast — get 7. When you subscribe, the store's free trial (3 / 7 / 14 days depending on plan) stacks on top.
10What do the discipline modes change?+
Gentle through Beast set how hard EXORA pushes: how strong the block-screen roast is and how fast it escalates on repeat attempts, how hard the challenge to earn a break is, and whether you can abandon a focus block freely. Gentle is a soft nudge; Beast is maximum intensity with the fewest exits.
11What happens when I try to quit during a focus block?+
Exora shows a roast modal before allowing you to pause or end the session. The message gets harsher depending on your discipline mode — Gentle is supportive, Beast is brutal. You can still quit, but you have to choose to.
12What is Focus Wrap?+
Focus Wrap is a story-style recap of your focus history. Choose a period (week, month, year, or all time) and swipe through full-screen slides: total focus time, Pomodoro rounds, longest streak, peak window, and the protection mode you used most. The final slide is a shareable card image.
13Which platforms does Exora support?+
Android has the fullest protection — accessibility app blocking, website and adult-site blocking, app categories, the minimalist launcher, automatic rules, managed mode, notifications, a live rule-status widget, and scheduled sessions. Windows adds a native desktop shield, the ExoraGuard watcher, hosts-file website blocking, plus a kernel-enforced AppLocker tier for managed Enterprise/Education fleets. iOS is planned.
14What syncs when I sign in?+
Your profile, preferences, focus history, streaks, stats, scheduled sessions, activity logs, usage counters, and notification token can sync to your EXORA account. Dashboard and Profile show sync status so you know when account data is current.
15What subscriptions are planned?+
EXORA Pro is planned with Weekly ($2/week, 3-day free trial), Monthly ($10/month, 7-day free trial), and Annual ($100/year, 14-day free trial). Pro unlocks unlimited focus sessions, the full protection tools — app blocking, app & website categories, friction delays, website and adult-site blocking, and automatic rules — plus account sync, Focus Pools, advanced insights, scheduled sessions, and priority product improvements. When the free run ends, these blocking features pause until you subscribe (managed-mode devices are unaffected).
16How are Focus Pools kept safe?+
Public pool names, goals, and member display names are guarded against unsafe content. Pool owners can remove members or block members from rejoining a pool.
